Heidelberg is at your doorstep-just 60 minutes from Frankfurt International Airport. If you plan to take tutorials, we suggest to arrive on Friday   September, 17th. If you want to be in Heidelberg at the Opening Ceremony (starts Sat, 18:30h), we suggest to take a airplane that arrives in Frankfurt not later than 14:00h (2 pm) on Saturday September, 18th.

We strongly advise you to book your hotel early, as there will be several other conferences in and around Heidelberg at this time.

For hotel information please refer to the Heidelberg tourist office. They have a list of hotels in all categories online and also provide a online booking form.

Hotel reservations can also be made through our partner Matthew Incentives, who allocated space at the following hotels:

• Marriott Hotel (8 minutes walk to the conference venue, but a bit more far to downtown)

• Hotel zum Ritter (single 265,- DM, double 310,- per night) (20-30 minutes to walk to the conference venue, but in the middle of downtown)

Congress Venue

All scientific presentations will take place at the Communication Centre ("Kommunikationszentrum") of the German Centre for Cancer Research ("Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum, DKFZ") which is situated neighbouring to Heidelberg University's campus "Im Neuenheimer Feld" (see map).

The university campus "Im Neuenheimer Feld'' can be reached

• arrival by plane (from Frankfurt): On arrival at Frankfurt International Airport, take the train to Heidelberg (with or without change in Mannheim). You may also take the Lufthansa Bus to Heidelberg. Do not take a taxi from Frankfurt to Heidelberg - it takes 1 hour and will be more expensive than your flight...
  On arrival at the main station (train) or Marriott Heidelberg (bus) take a taxi (approx. DM10,-) or walk (2 km) to the congress venue.
  Arriving in Frankfurt: How to avoid a nightmare (by Lutz Edler)
• public transport from main station:
  Take the tram no. 1 (in direction of `Bumenthalstrasse West') or no. 4 (in direction of 'Handschuhsheim') until the stop `Bunsengymnasium'. From there you
  can walk in about 5 minutes to the conference office by turning left.
• by car
  At the interchange Heidelberg (A5) drive in the direction of Heidelberg (A656). At the end of the motorway turn left and follow the direction of `Chirurgie,
  Zoo' or `Klinikum Neuenheim' until you pass over the Neckar bridge. To get to the conference turn left at the second traffic light after the bridge. You can
  park in the designated parking areas..
  
  

Lectures will be held at lecture hall 1 ("Hörsaal 1") and in the seminar rooms (K1, K2) of the Communication Centre, posters will be on display in the surrounding lobby during the conference.

Industrial exhibitions and the Internet cafe are also located in the lobby.
